Forms import :: FES (Frontend Submissions)

This theme comes with premade forms for FES users. Inside your download package there's a Import files > FES folder where the necessary files can be found.
  1. Inside your dashboard go to EDD FES > Form Import/Export
  2. Import the Submission, Profile, and Registration forms one by one.
For more information about FES and how to use it, we strongly recommend to read their documentation; FES Documentation
Any bugs relating to FES, should first be directed to the developers of FES. You can do this by opening a support ticket on their website. Any upcoming features and/or request can be placed on their Trello page; Link.
Please remember, do not change the field names/metakey of these forms or you might receive errors or fields won't show up on your website at all.

Basic Setup

By default, your latest WordPress posts are displayed on the home/front page. You may wish to change this to any page you want, for example a custom page (made with Visual Composer) just like the demo.
  1. Go to Settings > Reading.
  2. Click on A static page (select below).
  3. Use the drop-down menu to select any page as your front (home) page for example Landing Page (3).
  4. Click on Save Changes.
doc-static1 doc-static2
In your theme options panel there's another option that will override the default Wordpress setting for Blog pages show at most and can be found under Sidebar > Page template :: Blog posts.

Settings :: FES (Frontend Submissions)

To avoid styling conflict between the theme and FES, we recommend to turn off FES's CSS script.
  1. Inside your dashboard go to EDD FES > Settings > Main Setting
  2. Click on OFF and then on the Save Changes button.
doc-static3

Check your settings

After all these steps, your website should look exactly the same as the demo.

If you don't have any footer widgets or the menu doesn't look like the demo, then something went wrong during the import process.
doc-static3 Luckily, we have a simple solution for this.
  1. WP Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options panel > Import/Export > Import from File
  2. Copy the contents of Theme Option Panel Settings.json there.
This file can be found inside your download package. There's a folder called Import Files
  1. WP Dashboard > Tools > Widget importer & Exporter
  2. Select theme-kiwi.com-import-widgets.wie.
This file can also be found inside your download package. There's a folder called Import Files
  3. Click on the Import Widget button and you're done.
doc-static3 doc-static3
When you first installed the theme + demo content, it might happen that no categories are shown or that the Grid VC Addon doesn't display any items. This is because the VC Addons have a preconfigured category ID set. When importing the demo, your website create their own category ID's. If they don't match, no items are shown.
To solve this, select the category ID manually.
doc-static3

Duplicate Pages

When some plugins are activated, new pages with shortcodes are created by default. These pages are also included in our import file. Therefore you may see pages such as:
Checkout, Purchase Confirmation, Purchase History, Transaction Failed, Wishlist, Create, Edit, View, to name a few, twice.

If you're in that situation, check the published date of these pages and delete the older ones.

Documentation :: Easy Digital Downloads

We can't say this enough but we strongly recommend reading the documentation on how to use Easy Digital Downloads.
Before your website goes live, make sure all settings are properly configured, including the settings of any additional extensions you've bought.
To avoid confusion, we changed the slug Downloads to Marketplace to match the theme.
